At the time of manufacture, this 1947 Cadillac Series 62 convertible was a premium offering from GM. It has now been fully restored (2010) with serious mechanical enhancements. From the stunning exterior to the luxurious tan leather interior, nothing was left to chance. From every angle this car is handsome. Body panel fit is exemplary, prep for paint was extensive and the Cadillac Pearl Red finish (11 total coats) in virtually perfect. A power tan convertible top w/new pump appears to have never seen weather. Stylish Tri-City Plating chrome, a split windshield, period-correct rear fender skirts, Coker wide-whites and '57 Cadillac 'sombrero' full wheel discs complete the exterior package. Remarkable craftsmanship that has gone into this vehicle. Passengers are surrounded by plush leather - late-model Cadillac seats were reupholstered by Vaughn's Upholstery, Greer SC. The impressive original dash has been upgraded with AutoMeter vintage-style gauges and an Eldorado tilt/telescopic wheel was installed. A catalogue of convenience features includes an Air Southern A/C system, power windows (factory option on convertible only – new power units), cruise, front/rear seat belts and an AM/FM/CD sound system. Gone is the 346ci V-8 engine and Cadillac 4-speed Hydromatic transmission. Power is now provided by a GM 502ci big-block crate motor set in a detailed engine compartment and backed by a rebuilt Turbo400 automatic w/cooler and Monte Carlo differential w/2.92:1 gears. Suspension features power steering, a '77 TransAm front clip, rear leaf springs w/air shocks, and power disc/drum brakes utilizing Dodge truck components. This includes cashier's checks, certified checks, or bank checks of any kind. We cannot accept any credit card as payment or partial payment for a vehicle under any circumstance. Credit card transactions are ONLY accepted for the $500 deposit to hold the vehicle for 7 days while awaiting full payment.
