The 1957 Chevy Stepside Pickup is a classic icon of Chevrolet automotive history. With its signature wraparound windshield and bold grill, this truck epitomizes design concepts of the late '50s. This Stepside pickup has been the beneficiary of a meticulous restoration and has won First Place trophies at major national events around the country including a Concourse Gold at Muscle Cars and Corvette Nationals in Chicago (MCACN). The truck has been driven less than 7,000 miles since restoration. The handsome body sits on a rebuilt late model Chevy 1500 series frame/chassis and has been professionally refinished in 2-stage Lamborghini Sunrise Pearl Yellow. All chrome including the imposing grill is in excellent condition and the bed is fitted with polished oak/stainless flooring. Headlights are LED and Uniroyal radials are mounted on US Wheel chrome spoke alloys. The interior is designed around handsome tan leather bucket seats, Lokar shifter, tilt Lecarra wheel, custom headliner and plush carpeting. The classic dashboard holds a complete set of classic VDO gauges and a raging 800w Alpine AM/FM/CD sound system. Things stay cool with Sanderson A/C and new tinted window glass. A new wiring harness that includes a complete professional alarm system has also been installed.
The owner states that the fully-dressed, detailed engine compartment houses a built 454ci big-block that is fitted with an Edelbrock intake/carburetor, mild cam and cast exhaust manifolds to a free-flowing Borla exhaust system - sounds nice, runs even better. Cooling is handled by an aluminum radiator. The Rat is backed by a 700R4/OD automatic transmission and 12-bolt differential fitted with 3.56:1 gears. The virtually spotless chassis is equipped with power steering and braking is managed by a power disc/drum package w/dual master. Credit card transactions are ONLY accepted for the $500 deposit to hold the vehicle for 7 days while awaiting full payment.
