Commando 440ci RB-Wedge Premium Alpine Sound System
STK 3528 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury
This totally restored (2011), award winning 1965 Plymouth is top-shelf. The Sport Fury coupe received a professional respray of Medium Blue Metallic and all chrome is in excellent condition. Period correct 15” Cragar S/S wheels mount like-new Cooper Evolution radial tires. The restored Dark Blue interior is outstanding – vinyl upholstery, carpeting, dash and door cards are all impressive. There is a full set of factory gauges, tinted windows, and a beautiful console with a 'Sun Super Tach'. The original AM radio needs TLC, but a premium Alpine AM/FM/CD/MP3 sound system has also been seamlessly installed. Engine options for the '65 Sport Fury were many – from a 318ci A-block to a 426ci 'Wedge'. That said, whatever was once under the hood is long gone. The owner states that the Sport Fury is now powered by a Commando 440ci 'RB-Wedge' that is pure MOPAR muscle (factory rated 375hp/480lb/ft). This 440 is equipped with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, cast iron exhaust manifolds and a stainless exhaust system. It is backed by Chrysler's TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission and the differential is fitted with 3.23:1 gearing. The Fury's chassis is equipped with power steering and manual disc/drum brakes. Front suspension is Chrysler's 'Torsion-Aire Ride' torsion bar design and leaf springs w/coil-over shocks are used in the rear. A new fuel tank has also been installed. This is a handsome Plymouth - a full-sized, comfortable 'muscle car' that is fun to drive. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
